Day 1: Ho Chi
Minh Arrival
On
arrival at Tan San Nhat Airport, you are met and
transferred to the hotel. Ho Chi Minh City is a center of
commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This bustling
metropolis, contradiction of its
northern counterpart, is crowded with bikes and motorbikes,
excited by numerous shopping area and sidewalk cafes. If time
permits, we stroll around the down town to explore the different
local ways of life. Overnight at the Sofitel Plaza 5* in Ho
Chi Minh
Day 2: Ho Chi
Minh – City Tour (B,L)
After having buffet breakfast at Sofitel Plaza hotel, we
start at 08:00 am from the hotel, take city tour of dynamic Ho
Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals. We pass the
now-demolished wartime American Embassy before we visit
the Reunification Palace which was the former residence
of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and
some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame
Cathedral, the Old Sai Gon Post Office, and War
Museum. In the afternoon, we continue to visit the Jade
Emperor Pagoda, the bustling Ben Thanh Market where
anything and everything is for sale. Overnight at the Sofitel
Plaza 5* in Ho Chi Minh.
Day 3: Ho Chi
Minh – Le Cochinchine Cruise (B,L,D)
Having buffet breakfast at Sofitel Plaza Hotel, Morning
pick up you at 08:30 am transfer to Cai Be where you will
embank the Le Cochinchine , 11h30 -12h.00 boarding LE
COCHINCHINE boat. Enjoy welcome drink . Transfer to a local
boat for an extensive visit of Cai Be: the floating market,
the mazes of waterway, local pop-rice and sweets production.
Visit of colonial buildings, old houses,
delightful flower gardens and local coconut candy
and rice paper manufacturers. Le Cochinchine continues
its cruise to Co chien. Lunch served on board. Embark
on a pleasant walk or cycle on the footpaths of the
countryside to discover tropical fruit orchards and the local
people's activities. Visit a cottage industry, a local farm and
sample seasonal fruits. Leisurely cruise on the Mekong River
while taking in the beautiful scenery. Enjoy an aperitif over
the sunset. Dinner and night on board.
Day 4: Le
Cochinchine Cruise – Ho Chi Minh – Departure (B)
Breakfast on board. The morning bobbling commotion of Mekong
river life comes to life for another lovely day our boat set
sails to Can Tho through tributary and canals. Transfer
to Cai Rang: one of the most bustling floating markets
in Mekong. We go for a walk along the canals and the
palm-shaded creek to see local houses and green
orchards, ship building yards, rural and water
activities in full swing. Boarding back at noon, with
a welcome-back drink. 11 h00 Disembark in Can Tho and take the
drive back to Ho Chi Minh or transfer to airport for departure
to next destination.
