Day 1: HOUEI SAY – PAKBENG ( L, D)
The LuangSay boat departs from Houeisay pier at 09:00
hrs for a cruise down the Mekong River to Pak Beng. One stop is
made to visit and admire the authentic rural life of hill tribe
settlements. A delicious Buffet lunch is served on board. The boat
will arrive at LuangSay Lodge before sunset for overnight stop.
Dinner is served at terrace overlooking the Mekong River.
Day 2: PAKBENG – KAMU LODGE (B,L,D)
Breakfast served at terrace around 07:30 hrs. In the morning
visit the morning market (Optional) of Pak Beng where the nearby
villagers and hill tribes buy and exchange their goods.
Luangsay Boat departs at 08:30 a.m. for her second part of
trip; boat makes another stop at Ban Baw to observe the processing
traditional rice alcohol. Lunch is again served on board; then the
boat cruise to Kamu Village. The boat will arrived at 14h00 in
Kamu Lodge for the check in-

n the afternoon you may choose to participate in the different
activities. You will be rewarded with a very original Lao
experience. and
Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 3: KAMU LODGE – LUANG PRABANG (B,L)
Breakfast at lodge, after some time to relax and a visit to the
village of Kamu, cruise down to Luang Prabang (UNESCO world
heritage city) by Kamu boat to Pak Ou village at the mouth
of Nam Ou River, boat stops for a trip to visit Tam Ting ‘Caves of
thousand Buddha’s’ then arrive Luang Prabang before Lunch.Lunch at

LUANGSAY LODGE
+ Built along the Mekong River, 1 km from Pakbeng Village half
way between HoueiSay and Luang Prabang.
+ The construction is of tropical hardwood in the Lao
traditional style and decoration - 19 rooms + restaurant, bar and
central terrace linked by gangways.
+ Each pavilion has a terrace offering a fabulous view
over the Mekong river and Valley.Each pavilion has private toilet
/ shower room and hot water.( 1 bedroom and 2 bedrooms pavilions

Very Important note :
Please note that now there are many
tourists entry into Laos and new regulation for immigration and
visa procedure have been changed as I always put this
information on bottom mail. They need all tourists fill in
form and stand on queue themselves which it seem that it’s very
long queue .
At Chiang Khong Immigration, some
tourists just arrived at immigration at 07h20 for first queue
(immigration open at 08h00).
Therefore to
avoid any delay, please kindly arrive at Chiang Khong earliest
possible to avoid any delay. Our
Luangsay cruise will wait all
guests latest 09h30 otherwise we
have to start cruise to less complaint from another guests who
arrived earlier and missing some visit village.
Guests who aren’t finish on time, they have to follow cruise by
speedboat at their own expense.
For your
information, due to water a bit decrease on the Mekong River, It
is possible to leave your large suitcases and luggage in the
storage room on the boat overnight in Pakbeng and only take a
small daypack with a change of clothes to the Lodge. This is
advisable as the steps to the lodge are quite steep.
Regarding
immigration and visa on arrival, effective 30 Jan 12 Houeisay’s
immigration had change for immigration and visa procedure, all
the forms have to be collected and filled in there and clients
have to stand on queue themselves. Therefore, please kindly
inform your clients to check in at Houeisay office at 08h15 to
avoid any delay due to too many tourists there..
